투명하게, 구멍을 뚫어서

 

[뚫린 연구 Porous Research]는 He Jin Jang Dance가 작품 <투명인간이 되든, 춤을 추든>을 위해 신촌문화발전소에서 2023년 5월 23일부터 7월 6일까지  약 7주간 진행한 아티스틱 리서치이다. 전통적인 공연 제작방식과 폐쇄적인 연습 구조에 구멍을 내는 행위이자, 새로운 지식생산 (knowledge production) 담론에 참여하는 시간이었다. 이 예술적 연구에서 발견된 지식과 지혜는 공연물에 위치한 것이 아니라, 과정 안에 구석 구석 자리하고 있다. 그 흔적들을 토크와 움직임 워크숍의 형태로 ‘투명하게, 구멍을 뚫어서’ 공유한다. 7주의 과정 동안 진화한 연구의 생동을 담아내며 그 안에 발생한 시행착오, 갈등 등의 요소를 생략하지 않은 채 이것이 지식이 발생하는 위치임을 기념한다. 공유회의 참여자들은 여러 단서를 통해 투명한 존재로 연구에 함께하게 된다.

Sinchon Arts Space Studio Residency Program 

Lecture session of Porous Research: Transparently, by making holes

 

Porous Research is an artistic research conducted by He Jin Jang Dance at Sinchon Arts Space from May 23 to July 6, 2023, spanning approximately seven weeks to develop the work Slow Carnival World. It was an act of creating holes in traditional performance production methods and the closed structures of practice, and a time to participate in new knowledge production discourse. The knowledge and wisdom uncovered in this artistic research are not located in the performance itself; instead, they are intricately woven into the process. These traces are shared ‘transparently, by making holes’ in the form of talks and movement workshops. Showcasing the dynamic evolution of the research, it celebrates that knowledge is generated within the elements such as trials and conflicts, without omitting to mention them. Participants in the sharing session become integral to the research as transparent beings through various clues.
